Elizabeth grew up on Echo Valley Farm in Red Hook, New York raising sheep, horses, pigs, and chickens with her family. She attended Cornell University where she played NCAA field hockey and earned a degree in rural sociology. She moved to Maine in 1997 after receiving her master’s in social work at Boston University.
After twenty years as a public-school counselor Elizabeth joined Oxford County Mental Health Services in 2017 after moving to the Western Maine foothills. She is an outpatient therapist utilizing her training and certification in yoga, Internal Family Systems and Polyvagal Theory with adults.
Elizabeth volunteers for the Alan Day Community Garden and the Western Maine Addiction Recovery Initiative. She lives in Woodstock, Maine with her husband Lucas and enjoys hiking, rock climbing, gardening, and creating art.
